ACTIVIDADES DE ”INVESTIGACIÓN Y DESARROLLO DE MODELO DE COSTES E INDICADORES EN PRODUCCIÓN AGROALIMENTARIA” DENTRO DEL PROYECTO “CHERRY FARM“
This contract was established within the framework of a call for cooperation among stakeholders in the agricultural sector. The project focuses on the cultivation of high-value cherry trees using Vertical Farming technology, integrated into a real-time sensor-monitored smart container.
The research team has conducted an extensive study of the production processes and growth phases of fruit trees, defining the relevant parameters and variables for this innovative vertical production system. Additionally, a specialized production cost model has been designed and characterized to accurately determine, for the first time, the specific costs associated with this type of fruit cultivation.
The project also evaluates key sustainability indicators, such as carbon and water footprints. Furthermore, an analysis of the necessary sensor arrays was performed to monitor established variables in real time, ensuring precise data for both economic costs and ecological impact assessments.
