This project aims to enhance operational, economic, and sustainable efficiency in Urban Freight Distribution (UFD) through the design of a digital platform for real-time registration and monitoring of critical data for decision-making.

To achieve this, Industry 4.0 technologies will be implemented, including IoT (Internet of Things) devices, advanced real-time wireless communication, and specialized IoT software solutions. Furthermore, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data will be applied to urban distribution processes. The project also involves the design and characterization of an innovative KPI dashboard featuring 4.0 indicators for UFD, specifically developed to improve decision-making and to measure—and ultimately reduce—the environmental impact of these activities.
