The gradual implementation of <strong>open-architecture control programs<\/strong> in a new generation of <strong>Machine Tools (MT)<\/strong> allows for the compensation of geometric errors identified through <strong>volumetric verification<\/strong>, significantly enhancing machine precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While traditional verification focused on individual axes, the push for high-precision components\u2014both in large-scale and micro-manufacturing\u2014has led to the adoption of <strong>Laser Tracker (LT) volumetric verification<\/strong>. This technique characterizes the MT\u2019s behavior across its entire working volume in less time, providing a global compensation for the combined effect of all geometric errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary objective of this project is the design and development of a <strong>high-precision telescopic system<\/strong> composed of three or more arms, based on <strong>simultaneous laser multilateration<\/strong>. By capturing distance data from all arms concurrently, the system leverages the superior accuracy of <strong>laser interferometry<\/strong> while maintaining the flexibility and process speed of an LT.
