secure, and sustainable autonomous factory by integrating advanced <strong>Artificial Intelligence<\/strong> and <strong>Deep Learning<\/strong> at the industrial edge. By leveraging <strong>Edge Computing<\/strong> architectures, the project enables real-time data processing and decision-making directly at the point of operation, reducing latency and enhancing operational autonomy in complex manufacturing environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The core research focuses on the development of a new generation of smart sensors and <strong>computer vision<\/strong> systems for in-process monitoring, including tool wear analysis and high-precision surface topography. To ensure the integrity of these hyper-connected systems, the project implements secure edge computing through GPUs and <strong>Blockchain-based digital identities<\/strong>, creating a robust framework for <strong>Digital Twins<\/strong> and autonomous models that optimize production conditions and overall sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The technological solutions are validated through high-level industrial demonstrators in the <strong>aerospace<\/strong> and <strong>automotive<\/strong> sectors. Backed by a high-impact consortium including machine tool leaders (<strong>DANOBAT, EKIN<\/strong>), industrial giants (<strong>FERSA, ITP Aero<\/strong>), and specialized research entities, FAUSTO ensures the real-world applicability of AI in manufacturing.
